LAURA RAHAL - R.I.P.

A whole month has gone by and it all becomes clear now.
Like Ceasar, she came, she conquered and now she's gone.

I never met her. I never got to know her.
Yet, there she was, my cousin's only daughter;
a gift from heaven, an angel in disguise
on loan to us, headed for paradise.
Her smiling face will live forever after.
Her time with us, so full of happy laughter,
was not in vain. Her mission over, she said goodbye
and flew out of that plane and headed for the sky.

Thank you Joe for this beautiful poem. She's missed by all of us dearly. My brother's true love, my good friend and Maid of Honour during my wedding. As you say, "Her smiling face will live forever after".

Thank you, Maria, for your kind comments. I was really touched by your story. I'm happy my simple poem brought back pleasant memories for you and I'm really sorry for your brother's loss; it's never easy to lose loved ones, in any kind of circumstances. I hope time will help him overcome his pain and rebuild his life. regards. Joe
